Contact our occupational therapist in Bossier City, LA

A child's role in life is to play and interact with other children. Our pediatric occupational therapists evaluate a child's current skills for playing, school performance, and daily activities and compare them with what is developmentally appropriate for that age group. OT's help children perform daily activities they may find challenging by addressing sensory, social, behavioral, motor, and environmental issues.

Pediatric occupational therapy helps children gain independence while also strengthening the development of fine motor skills, sensory motor skills, and visual motor skills that children need to function and socialize.

Our child occupational therapy services address the following:

  • Fine motor delays in early childhood to help with grasping toys and develop good handwriting skills
  • Development of basic tasks such as dressing, bathing, brushing teeth, self-feeding
  • Feeding difficulties in infancy due to ineffective latch, tongue-tie
  • Sensory and attention issues to improve focus and social skills
  • Coordination skills needed for self-feeding, use a computer, or increase the speed and legibility of handwriting
  • Behavioral issues in children who have difficulty with transitions, self-regulation, and routine changes
